摘要

  The effect of casting temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-2.6Li-1.45Cu alloy specimens processed by squeeze casting had been investigated by OM, SEM and tensile tests.The results indicate that not only the lower casting temperature can prevent the growth of columnar crystals but also promote the equiaxed grains grow.The microstructure of the cast alloys are consist of α(Al) and T2(AL6CuLi3) phases.As the reduction of casting temperature, the quantity of second phase and the ultimate strength get increased, while the yield strength and elongation declined.
