Se analiza m谷tricamente la producci車n cient赤fica sobre comunicaci車n social generada en Cuba entre los a os 1994 y 2004, a partir de las tesis de diploma y de grado, as赤 como de los informes de investigaci車n realizados y atesorados en las instituciones de la educaci車n superior cubanas relacionadas con este campo. Se estudia el comportamiento tem芍tico, la fecha de producci車n de los documentos, el lugar de realizaci車n, los enfoques con los que se realizaron y los 芍mbitos de la comunicaci車n estudiados, entre otros aspectos de inter谷s, que posibilitan un acercamiento m芍s riguroso a esta 芍rea del conocimiento en el pa赤s, as赤 como sus tendencias principales The scientific production in social communication generated in Cuba between 1994 and 2004 is metrically analyzed, based on diploma and degree research papers, as well as on the investigation reports carried out and accumulated in the institutions of the Cuban Superior Education System related to this field. The thematic behavior, the date of production of the documents, the place of execution, the foci with which they were carried out and the environments of the communication studied are analyzed among others aspects of interest, that enable a more rigorous approach to this area of knowledge in the country, as well as its main tendencies
