Con el objetivo de contribuir a la creaci車n de una cultura b芍sica sobre ciertos temas esenciales para la labor de los profesionales de la informaci車n en los nuevos entornos de la medicina moderna, se tratan algunos conceptos y definiciones esenciales 迆tiles para comprender los avances de la bioqu赤mica y la gen谷tica modernas. La introducci車n de estas nociones en el vocabulario de uso frecuente de estos profesionales facilitar芍 su acercamiento al entorno gen車mico de la nueva medicina cl赤nica. Some essential concepts and definitions that are useful to understand the advances of modern biochemistry and genetics are dealt with aimed at contributing to the creation of a basic culture on certain fundamental topics for the work of information professionals in the new modern medicine settings. The introduction of these notions into the daily vocabulary of these professionals will make possible their approximation to the genomic environment of the new clinical medicine.
