Ozone bleaching of flax pulp was carried out with a new laboratory automated equipment. Based on the study of high consistency and low consistency ozone bleaching kinetics, the bleaching rate of low consistency ozone bleaching was studied from the point of mass transfer and the feasibility of low consistency ozone bleaching was discussed. The conditions for ozone bleaching of flax pulp at low consistency were researched. The optimum process condition was 3% consistency, pH value 2, ozone dosage was 1.0%, the brightness and viscosity of the bleached flax pulp were 84% and 668 mL/g, respectively.
