摘要
The free-piston Stirling cryocooler at the liquid nitrogen temperature range has been studied deeply and initially commercialized, but the research on the large cooling capacity (larger than 1000 W) at the air-conditioning refrigeration temperature region is still rare. Taking into the consideration of the advantages of using environmental-friendly noble gases such as helium as working medium and the compact structure of free-piston Stirling cooling technology, a kilowatt-class free-piston Stirling cooler driven by a dual-opposite linear compressor was built and its operating characteristics and cooling performance were systematically tested. During the experimental investigation, the ambient temperature was set at 35℃, the influences of cooling temperature, mean working pressure and operating frequency on the cooling power and coefficient of performance were also studied. The results show that the free-piston Stirling cooling technology has great potential on the air-conditioning cooling application.
