<正>英语中有不少包含two和second的习惯用语。本文在参考多部词典及有关资料的基础上,对此作一归纳。1.put two and two together根据事实推理,综合起来判断。例如:He is inclined to put two and two together and make five.他爱捕风捉影,听风就是雨。I didn’t call to say I’d be late,but she put two and two together when she heard the weather reports.我没打电话说会晚到,但她一听天气预报便判断出来了。
