Avaliaram-se n赤veis de inclus o de ur谷ia em suplementos sobre o consumo, a digestibilidade e parametros do metabolismo dos compostos nitrogenados em bovinos, manejados em pastagem de Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu, no per赤odo de seca. Foram utilizados quatro novilhos Holand那s x Zebu, n o-castrados, com peso m谷dio inicial de 250kg, fistulados no es fago, r迆men e abomaso. Foram fornecidos suplementos isoprot谷icos (20% PB), constitu赤dos de milho gr o, farelo de algod o, mistura mineral e diferentes n赤veis de ur谷ia, com base na mat谷ria natural (0; 1,6; 3,2; e 4,8%), na quantidade de 1% do pesovivo. O experimento foi conduzido segundo delineamento em quadrado latino 4 x 4. Os n赤veis de ur谷ia influenciaram de forma quadr芍tica (p %26lt; 0,10) os consumos de mat谷ria seca total (MS) e MS de pasto, com m芍ximo consumo estimado sobre n赤veis pr車ximos a 1,6% de ur谷ia. As digestibilidades ruminal e total da MS, da mat谷ria organica e da PB, as concentra es de nitrog那nio amoniacal ruminal e a excre o urin芍ria de nitrog那nio ur谷ico apresentaram rela es lineares positivas com os n赤veis de ur谷ia nos suplementos (p %26lt; 0,10). The effects of different urea levels in supplements evaluated on intake, digestibility, and metabolism of nitrogenous compounds of crossbreed steers grazing on a pasture of Brachiaria brizantha cv Marandu during dry season. Four Holstein x Zebu steers, with average initial live weight of 250 kg, fistulated in the esophagus, rumen, andabomasum, were used. The animals received supplement (1% of live weight), containing 20% CP, based on corn grain, cottonseed meal, mineral mix, and urea in four levels, as fed (0, 1.6, 3.2, and 4.8%). The experiment was carried out according a 4 x 4 Latin square design. The urea levels showed a quadratic response (p %26lt; 0.10) to total dry matter (DM) intake and DM intake from pasture, with better response close to 1.6% of urea. Total and rumen digestibilities of DM, organic matter, and CP, rumen ammonia concentration, and urine excretion of urea showed a positive linear relationship (p %26lt; 0.10) with urea levels in the supplements.
