摘要
a study is made of the influence of the school of pragmatic thought on the cuban library science. the characteristics of the pragmatic philosophy in relation to the context of its origin and development are examined; as well as its presence in diverse areas of the society%26apos;s life, including the american public libraries. the similarities of these with their cuban counterparts in the republican period are analyzed, and the presence of pragmatism in these institutions, as well as in the library personnel training plans at different teaching levels, is shown.
