摘要

this paper examines the results as well as initial impacts of the implementation of the venezuelan workers alimentation law (ˋley de alimentation de los trabajadores en venezuelaˋ) through the use of coupons or food tickets. an applied survey to a national sample of 1.200 people during the second semester of the year 2008 shows, as main result, that this mechanism is perceived as the expression of a policy where the private sector, jointly with the public sector, contributes to the inclusion of a higher number of workers to the alimentary benefit, impacting positively the level of the workersˋ life.
