摘要
Freak wave has the feature of high wave height and great energy, and has great power to destruct marine structures. Based on the second and higher order of theoretical solutions of nonlinear interaction between waves and the two-wave train superposition model, this paper presents a numerical method for generating freak waves. By analyzing and comparing the characteristics of wave train and freak wave under different transient wave energy ratio, the ideal transient wave energy ratio is 5%-10%, and the appropriate transient wave energy ratio should be selected according to the features of actual freak waves.
