O fornecimento de f車sforo pelo lodo de esgoto (LE) para as culturas ainda n o 谷 um fen meno bem conhecido. Com o objetivo de quantificar a resposta da cana-dea 迆car, variedade SP83-2847, 角 substitui o da aduba o fosfatada mineral pela aplica o de lodo de esgoto, foi instalado um experimento em um Argissolo Vermelho-Amarelo emCapivari, Estado de S o Paulo. Os tratamentos, dispostos em blocos casualizados, com quatro repeti es, constaram de: 1 - controle; 2 - Fertiliza o mineral (FM); 3 - LE+0P; 4 - LE+45P; 5 - LE+90P; 6 - LE+135P e 7 - LE+180P. A dose de LE, 8,2 t ha-1 (base seca), foisuficiente para fornecer 60 kg ha-1 de N, e as doses de P foram iguais a 0, 45, 90, 135 e 180 kg ha-1de P2O5. N o houve efeito dos tratamentos nos valores de pH, mat谷ria organica do solo, P e condutividade el谷trica do solo, na camada de 0-20 cm de profundidade. Houve aumento na disponibilidade de cobre, ferro e zinco no solo e da concentra o de Mn e Zn nas folhas com o LE. A aplica o de LE+0P resultou numa produ o de colmos de cerca de 71% da verificada no tratamento FM, e n o houve altera es na quantidade de a 迆car totalrecuper芍vel (ATR) com a aplica o do res赤duo. The objective of this work was to quantify the response of sugarcane to the replacement of phosphorus, applied as mineral fertilizer, by sewage sludge (SS). Sewage sludge was applied alone and in conjunction with mineral P fertilizer on a sugarcane crop in an Ultisol, SP83-2847 variety, distributed over seven treatments: 1 - control, without fertilization; 2 - mineral fertilization, based on the official recommendation; 3 - SS+0P; 4 - SS+45P; 5 - SS+90P; 6 - SS+135P; and 7 - SS+180P. Treatments 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 received8.2 t ha-1 of SS (dry weight), enough to supply 60 kg ha-1 N, and the P fertilizer rates were equal to 0, 45, 90, 135 and 180 kg ha-1 P2O5. Sewage sludge and SS+P did not increase pH, soil organic matter, available P and soil electrical conductivity. An increasing value ofavailable soil Cu, Fe and Zn and foliar Mn and Zn content was observed with sewage application. The SS+0P treatment resulted in a stalk yield corresponding to 71% of that obtained with mineral fertilization, and there were no observed alterations in recoverabletotal sugar (RTS) amounts.
