摘要
Objective: To investigate the expression of Sema4C and Erbin in cervical cancer and their relationship with clinicopathological features. Methods: The expression of Sema4C and Erbin proteins in 126 cases of cervical cancer tissues and 42 adjacent tissues were detected by multiplex fluorescent immunohistochemistry. Western Blot was used to detect the expression of Sema4C and Erbin in HeLa cells transfected with Erbin siRNA or control siRNA. Results: In cervical cancer tissues, Sema4C and Erbin were mainly localized in the cytoplasm. The mean H-score of Sema4C expression in 42 cervical cancer tissues and their adjacent tissues was 154. 78 and 125. 38, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P=0. 007). The mean H-score of Erbin expression in 42 cervical cancer tissues and their adjacent tissues was 189. 71 and 168. 62, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P=0. 007). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression of Sema4C protein in cervical cancer tissues was positively correlated with the expression of Erbin (r=0. 742, P<0. 01). The expression of Sema4C in cervical cancer was correlated with age and clinical stage (P =0. 002 and 0. 021, respectively), but no correlation of Sema4C expression was found to the pathological grade, lymph node involvement, and distant metastasis. The expression of Erbin in cervical cancer was not correlated with these clinicopathological features. Western Blot analysis indicated that Sema4C expression was down-regulated by siRNA targeting Erbin in HeLa cells. Conclusion: The expressions of Sema4C and Erbin in cervical cancer are correlated to some extent, which may play a role in the occurrence and progression of cervical cancer. ? 2023 Editorial Board of Medical Journal of Wuhan University.
