To determine the prevalence of enteroparasites infection in children of Burruyacu, rural region from Tucuman-Argentina, 150 students, who age was comprised between 4 and 14 years were included in the study. Fecal samples were obtained from each person and analyzed by direct examination and by concentration method. The prevalence of intestinal parasitosis was 93.3% and protozoa were more frequent than helminths. Blastocystosis hominis was the most prevalent parasitosis (76.0%), with the following decreasing sequence: Entamoeba coli (54.6%), Giardia intestinalis (35.3%), Endolimax nana (33.3%), Hymenolepis nana (8.7%), Ascaris lumbricoides (6.0%), Chilomastix mesnilli (5.3%), Trichuris trichiura (5.3%) and Iodamoeba b邦tschlii (2%). In addition the incidence of Enterobius vermicularis was about (61.8%) in the Argentinean students considered in our study. According to the data obtained through health agents working on the area, they did not count with a plant for purification water process. From our results it can assure that it is necessary to give immediately to this rural community the minimum conditions of basical hygiene.
