摘要
This essay is the continuation, presented as the second part, of the article published last year in this same Review, With its publication we shall have covered all of the 18th century, up to the beginning of the 19th century with respect to allusions of a musical nature made during the Chapter ceremonies in the Cathedral in the Pyrenees (the hiring and the activities of its musicians, protagonists of the religious functions with musical accompaniment, etc.). As the last issue covered the years 1700-1750, we continue on from 1751 to 1810. In this way we relate the musical life of this Cathedral music chapel, thus linking up with the anterior studies carried out by Felipe Pedrell and Higinio Angl谷s, who covered mostly the 16th and 17th centuries, thereby enlightening those interested concerning some of the fundamental characteristics of the cultural, social and artistic evolution of La Seu d%26apos;Urgell which stamped the city with an identity of its own.
