摘要
the development of the qualitative studies in the information sphere, both in the world and in cuba, specifically in the national system of public libraries, and of those referred to the evaluation of libraries, is dealt with. diverse typologies of yielding indicators useful to evaluate the performance of the public libraries, as well as the statistical control carried out by the public librares in the country are analysed. finally, a proposal of indicators is made to assess the yielding of the cuban public libraries based on the set of statistical variables and controls these libraries have at present.
