摘要
This paper introduces the design of a fast neutron detector based on 10B+Si. This fast neutron detector was modeled by MCNPX software, and its detector efficiency, geometric parameters, and slowing materials were simulated and calculated by it. As a result, a design scheme of boron rubber as the slow neutron absorption layer, polyethylene as the moderator layer, and boron film as the reflection layer is given. Simulation and actual measurement results show that the detector can meet the beam loss monitoring requirements in the low-energy region of the proton accelerator.
